(Day and Night)

I love three things in this world:
The Sun, the Moon, and You.
The Sun for morning,
The Moon for night,
And you forever.

Of the world’s myriad wonders, three remain forever out of reach:
The moon in the water, the flower in the glass, and thee in my fleeting dreams.
The moon may be pursued,
The flower may be plucked,
But thou alone art sought in vain.
In the end, since time immemorial, the passionate are left only with boundless sorrow,
And the fairest dreams are always the quickest to shatter.
Now we part, with no tomorrow for us to meet again,
Leaving me alone to weather the passing spring and autumns.
